Overview Einstein Bros Bagels is a family‑friendly bagel bakery with a tradition of baking fresh bagels daily since 1995. The District Shift Leader role is the next step on the path to General Manager, with a targeted development plan to grow the skills that lead a grocery‑style store.
Responsibilities The District Shift Leader manages the home bakery’s daily operations and supports other stores when needed.
Key duties include:
Opening and closing operations starting as early as 3 am, ensuring high‑quality food and beverages.
Training and coaching team members.
Managing cash, inventory, vendor orders, and food‑cost and labor targets.
Performing P&L analysis, scheduling, and recruiting during the General Manager development plan.
Providing a safe, clean and welcoming store environment.
Traveling within the market to support other locations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
Ability to work varied hours, including early mornings (as early as 3 am) and weekends.
Valid driver’s license and successful background check.
Completion of Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification by the end of the GM development plan.
18 years of age or older.
Tip eligibility subject to state regulations.
