Position Summary Accepting applicants for 1st and 2nd shifts to inspect finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts and assemblies for conformance to company standards.
Position Responsibilities
Checks randomly selected samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process.
Reports conditions requiring immediate repair.
Uses advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct quality programs.
Works under general supervision.
Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections.
Uses experience and judgment for planning and accomplishing goals.
May inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions.
May obtain samples to conduct laboratory studies and determine measures to remedy deviations from standards.
Conducts Product and Process audits as well as Layered Process Audits (LPA).
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Strong and accurate data entry skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent organization and problem‑solving skills.
Self‑motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Use of powered hand tools.
Testing of raw materials and/or finished products, including ANSI/ASME measuring standards.
Position Qualifications Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
1+ year in quality machining (preferred). Experience with GD&T is preferred. Experience with Oracle, SAP or other database systems is preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements Activity:
Constantly standing, walking, twisting/turning, stooping/bending for 6+ hours.
Frequently:
Lifting up to 50 lbs for 3–6 hours.
Manufacturing environment with hot and cold climates.
Use of PPE: ear protection in high‑noise areas.
Work around machinery with moving parts and moving objects or vehicles.
Potential for slippery and uneven walking surfaces including ladders.
Exposure to offensive odors.
Vision required to validate and enter data on computer and calibrated tools.
Exposure to hazardous waste.
