Description of Work This position is responsible for interviewing patient/guardians to accurately collect demographic, financial, and insurance information for the Epic system. The individual will use Epic’s Real Time Eligibility (RTE) and external portals to confirm health plan coverage, obtain authorization information, monitor and resolve assigned work queues in Epic, and work closely with Central Billing Office staff to prevent billing delays. The role also includes managing a patient’s personal funds to ensure compliance with policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Management Preferences
Strong communication skills in both oral and written form.
Ability to organize and work independently.
Working knowledge of health insurance eligibility.
Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.
Preference for candidates with two years of related administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Recruitment Range $37,782 - $66,120.
Position Requirements Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED with two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mandatory Conditions This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
