Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation Hours:
Variable shifts between 6A-7P
Overview Promotes and maintains a positive service culture. Process diet orders, admissions, discharges and transfers. Obtain meal orders from patients, residents and visitors in an efficient and timely manner assuring that prescribed diet guidelines and patient specific needs are met. Associate will coordinate the Nutrition Office procedures with all members of the clinical nutrition staff. Associate will utilize the hospital and Nutrition Office computer systems. May function as an Ambassador as required.
Responsibilities
Process diet orders, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Obtain meal orders from patients, residents, and visitors in an efficient and timely manner.
Coordinate Nutrition Office procedures with clinical nutrition staff.
Utilize hospital and Nutrition Office computer systems.
Serve as an Ambassador when required.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
One year in a Food and Nutrition Service Department preferred.
Skills:
Basic computer skills, good communication, customer service, time and clock reading, basic math functions.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Read, write, speak English, follow oral and written instructions, good communication, customer service, tell time and read a clock, basic math.
Working Conditions
Electrical/mechanical power equipment hazards.
Housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals hazards.
Flammable/explosive gases hazards.
Burns and cuts hazards.
Varying and unpredictable situations.
Steam and heat hazards.
Kitchen elements hazards.
Extreme cold and extreme heat exposure.
Moisture contact with water or other liquids.
