Base pay range $23.75/hr - $25.75/hr
The Facilities Technician supports the Facilities & EHS Manager and Operations Team by completing preventative maintenance and repairing machinery, structures, facilities, and fixtures. Responsibilities include mechanical maintenance on physical assets, installations, new equipment setups, and responding to emergencies.
Position Description / Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Regularly performs carpentry, electrical repair, painting and plumbing tasks
Assists in installation of machinery.
Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
Repairs machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
Responds to emergencies and call‑ins.
Performs duties associated with emergency response and building security.
Trains other associates as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Remains familiar with the contingency plan and procedures.
Assists EHS with environmental reporting and industrial waste handling.
Periodically removes waste containers.
Maintains general housekeeping.
Minimum Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience in a role using mechanical, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills.
Forklift and scissor lift experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Formal training in a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in a role using mechanical, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills.
OSHA Hazwoper training.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in mechanical systems, electrical repair, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on machinery and forklifts.
Ability to install equipment and respond effectively to emergencies and call‑ins.
Knowledge of hazardous waste handling, labeling, and environmental compliance procedures.
Capable of training others and supporting building security and emergency response.
Strong communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
Familiar with contingency plans and general housekeeping standards.
