Insurance Operations Assistant – Financial Firm – State College, PA
At Strong Tower Associates, we help our clients—primarily retirees—navigate their financial lives with confidence, empathy, and clarity. We’re a small collaborative team looking for an Insurance Operations Assistant who shares our values and is ready to take ownership of essential operations and agent support tasks. This is an administrative position focused on keeping our systems running smoothly behind the scenes while our licensed agents focus on client conversations. Education Experience
2+ years of experience working in an administrative support role (required)
2+ years of experience working in the insurance or financial industry
PA Life and Health License is a plus, but not required
Skills & Knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Friendly, professional communication style
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm, helpful attitude
Familiarity with CRM systems and Google Workspace
Proficiency in using Excel for calculations, reconciliations, and reporting (formulas, functions, tables, charts)
Strong comfort with basic financial math and tracking (percentages)
Familiarity with Medicare and Pennie plans preferred
Responsibilities
Ensure a positive customer experience and satisfaction through relationship-building
Support agents with licensing, contracting, client servicing, marketing, and onboarding
Order enrollment kits, lead lists, and marketing supplies upon request
Retrieve and track commission statements, ensuring payments are accurate and on time
Assist with applications, servicing paperwork, and client and carrier communications
Follow applications from start to finish, make corrections as needed, and communicate status with clients
Update the CRM system, and provide various reports to the main Advisor
Handle incoming calls
Schedule client meetings
Maintain accurate CRM records; follow structured workflows
Attend seminars and client events, as needed
Location Options This position offers flexibility in where you work. Our main office is located in State College, but this position could work out of either State College or our satellite office in Lewisburg. Hybrid/remote options available, with a minimum of 1-2 days per week in either office.
Salary
Commensurate with experience and licensing status
