General Description The Part‑Time General Laborer works in either the cheese or whey department, accurately filling and securing products for shipment, and supports cross‑departmental tasks as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operate forklift efficiently and safely.
Record production data as required.
Load/unload trucks.
Perform minor maintenance of equipment.
Operate the scan gun with products.
Lift 50+ lbs. repetitively.
Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
Cheese Production Only
Accurately set up and run the curd line.
Fill 25‑lb. to 50‑lb. curd boxes and stack them on a pallet.
Set up and clean up the barrel line.
Make barrels and boxes for product sale.
Fill and cap 500‑lb. barrels and arrange them on pallets.
Whey Production Only
Assist dryer operators with shutdown and cleaning operations.
Fill, bag, and stack whey products on a pallet.
Prepare loads for shipping according to the Bill of Lading.
Assist the pan operator with cleaning evaporators when assigned.
Wage
Part‑Time – $24.00/hr
Overtime paid after 8 hours on a shift.
Additional bonus pay for overnight and Sunday shifts.
Requirements & Schedule
2nd and 3rd shifts available – Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Minimum of 2 weekends per month.
Part‑time schedule: 2–4 days/week on average, up to full time hours seasonally.
