THE OPPORTUNITY This position is the final step before taking over a site. You will represent Capstone with partners, manage day‑to‑day operations, and ensure safety and productivity. You may oversee portions of the business or an entire shift, train new hires, and prepare for future independent site management.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives
Run the site with safety and efficiency as priorities
Write and balance daily bank deposits and create daily work logs for corporate transmission
Audit daily labor and billing reports
Ensure customer needs are met daily
Document and resolve any customer service or associate issues every day
Ensure all associates follow Capstone policies and safety work rules
Hold weekly safety meetings and ensure associate participation
Assist in managing site and departmental budget
Schedule associate shifts based on customer requirements
Interview, hire, and train new associates
Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed
Complete daily closeout, including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll record administration per Capstone policies and SOPs
QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in an industrial setting
Proven experience delivering high‑level customer service to internal and external customers
Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); strong organization and prioritization
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment
Budget management skills; ability to read and interpret P&L statements and prepare management reports
Intermediate PC skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed
Ability to work in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and varied temperatures
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Preferred experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or third‑party logistics
BS/BA degree or associate degree with equivalent experience is a plus but not required
Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills
Proven track record in supervising warehouse employees, including hiring, training, and termination
Experience managing budgets and creating/maintaining management reports
Intermediate computer experience, ideally with Microsoft products
Strong aptitude for estimating rates and mental math in a multi‑tasking environment
