Our Client, an Energy company, is looking for a Project Scheduler for their Jackson, MI/ Bay City, MI/ Hybrid location.

Responsibilities

The Project Scheduler III will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining Outage schedule(s).

In this role you will also be asked to analyze schedule progress, ensuring alignment with outage objectives, and forecasting outage timelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scheduling tools, mainly Primavera (P6), project controls methodologies and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills: Must understand how to operate in a P6 environment including knowledge in layouts, activity codes, resources, group & sort and reporting.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders in order to receive and produce schedule information.

Must be able to participate fully in all outage and department meetings and discussions effectively.

Generation plant knowledge of how a plant operates would be beneficial.

Prior work experience in plant outages is a plus.

Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in regards to P6 schedules would be beneficial but not required.

Proficient in Power BI and the creation and use of new Power BI reports would be beneficial.

PMP or other PMI certification would be beneficial but not required.

PSP or CST or other AACEI certification would be beneficial but not required.

Project Scheduler needs at least a High School Education but candidates with Associate's Degree's, Bachelor's degree's or Master's Degree's will be factored into the selection.
