Team Leader – B Line – 3rd Shift
Primary Job Function: Implement the work schedules through direct assignment and monitoring of production Associates. Identify and report causes of production variances to designated authority. Support the development of associates through positive human relations strategies. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management. Must have the desire and ability to learn the Facilitator’s role and have future aspirations to become a Facilitator. Be willing to take any training required to accomplish this goal.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Assigning, directing and training of Associates with no responsibility for initiating action on hiring, firing, workforce alignments, disciplining, evaluating, lay-offs, promotions or rate increases
Promote continuous improvement programs and strive to maintain and improve productivity
Remain accessible to Associates the majority of the time and respond to Associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. and provide information, answers and assistance in a reasonable time period
Verify material usage, downtime and quality of products produced
Analyze causes for variations in processes and assist in the development of countermeasures
Create, prepare and maintain reports and related document files
Follow company policies and procedures and report violations as they occur
Assist Facilitator in creating work instructions
In the absence of your Facilitator, you will be expected to work closely with the other Facilitators to make the day run according to plan
Complete Layered Process Audits for all Chrysler jobs
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year Press experience preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
Conduct work responsibilities in a professional manner
Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite (Excel, Work, Outlook and PowerPoint) and ERP system
Ability to train others on job responsibilities
Training Requirements or Equivalents
New hire orientation
ERP System Training
Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements
Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day
Hand and eye coordination
Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours or more
Ability to work in manufacturing environment
