Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator La Central YMCA – Bronx, NY

Full-Time / Regular • $25.00 Hourly

Key Responsibilities

Assist in recruiting, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating program staff.

Provide outstanding hospitality to all members and guests.

Provide members with opportunities that will increase their involvement, sense of belonging, and ownership of the YMCA.

Maintain required certifications, tracked in Club Connect.

Participate in training sessions and designated meetings.

Understand branch emergency procedures and act appropriately.

Support community and promotional special events as needed.

Help manage programs to maximize member satisfaction, revenue, and compliance.

Assist in development, control, and tracking of departmental budget.

Research, facilitate, and build quality programs that provide member satisfaction.

Set annual priority objectives—improve service based on staff and customer evaluation/feedback.

Serve as point of contact for all Healthy Lifestyles staff.

Track and ensure staff certifications are up to date.

Assist with scheduling, maintaining, and managing facility and equipment.

Execute administrative duties—tracking, reports, schedules, equipment, supplies, and payroll.

Serve as branch Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred.

Current adult CPR and First Aid certifications.

Knowledge of Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y and principles of Member Health & Wellness.

Knowledge of Health & Wellness practices as they pertain to programs and services.

Foundations of Listen First.

Foundations of Strength and Conditioning and Group Exercise.

Applicable industry certifications.

Attend the YMCA hospitality training within ninety (90) days of hire.

Ability to work with participants of varying experience and skill levels.

Excellent customer service skills.
