You will lead engineers who will build Experian's security modular platform. You will work with other engineering teams to bring critical security services into the platform and deliver this to the broader ecosystem.
You will be responsible for automation, development, break/fix, and consulting with other teams to maintain functional and efficient services. The intent is to reuse existing services, apply best practice, and make them available through multiple mechanisms such as a portal, SDK, or CLI. AI will also play an important role in this experience.
You will need background building security operations capabilities and integrating them into a portal for both cloud and on-premises applications.
Lead a team of software engineers, encouraging an inclusive engineering culture
You’ll manage hiring, performance management, and career development for your team
Platform Ownership
Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of the security modular platform with a focus on scalability, reliability, and latency
You will create platform evolution, including modernization, AI, observability, and security best practices
Champion service level agreements, and incident response for security modular platform services
Technical Strategy
Collaborate with Architects and Principal Engineers to define the long‑term vision and roadmap for the security modular platform
Ensure the team follows software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and documentation
Guide the use of latest technologies that support shifting security left for the larger developer ecosystem
Work with Product Management, DevOps, and other engineering teams to align technical plans with our goals
Identity and integrate existing security solutions to the security modular platform
Partner with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure platform meets regulatory and operational standards
Delivery & Execution
Manage the delivery lifecycle of major platform plans
Track important performance metrics (availability, latency, throughput, adoption, reuse) and ensure continuous improvement
Manage the delivery of new security services into the security modular platform and tracking and reporting key metrics
Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
Proven experience integrating existing security services to a modular platform at scale
Knowledge of distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern backend stacks (e.g., Node.js, Java, Go, or Python)
Background with SecOps capabilities such as IAM, data classification, static and dynamic code scanning, secrets and key management, WAF, SIEM, and/or securing golden images
Experience working with and developing CI/CD pipelines with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
Experience with developing SDKs and CLIs
Experience with AI in the context of the security and developer experience
Experience with Agile methodologies
Related Certifications (CISSP, CCSK) are beneficial
