This 12-month position is responsible for the strategic leadership and daily oversight of housing operations, while also fostering a vibrant and inclusive community environment. This position includes a partially furnished apartment with utilities and participates in a professional staff on-call rotation, requiring some evening, holiday, and weekend commitments. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Housing Operations Leadership Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for all campus housing operations. Directly oversee all housing assignments, including lotteries, Living Learning Community (LLC) applications and placements, housing accommodations, and room change requests. Manage key distribution, off-campus approvals, reunion housing, and summer housing programs. Coordinate all residence hall openings, closings, early arrivals, health & safety inspections, fire safety protocols, and break housing in collaboration with professional staff. Work with the Administrative Assistant to manage and optimize the Residence housing software system. Ensure all residential buildings are ready for occupancy, serving as a liaison with Facilities Management to address maintenance concerns promptly. Communicate proactively with students regarding housing and facilities updates. Serve as a primary liaison between Residential Life and key campus partners, including Disability Services, Counseling, Health Services, Public Safety & Service, and Academic Deans. Community and Belonging Oversight Provide lead supervision for Cultural Center student employees, coordinating bi-weekly meetings. Serve as the lead coordinator for bi-weekly meetings and trainings with cultural center affiliated student organizations. Oversee all cultural centers, including their facilities maintenance and daily operations. Direct programming and marketing efforts for various cultural and heritage months. Advise assigned Affiliated Cultural Center Student Organizations. Offer programmatic and administrative support for affinity-based Living Learning Communities. Develop engaging content and strategies for student outreach across various social media platforms. General Responsibilities: Serve in the Professional Staff On Call rotation as a Tier 1 responder (one week per month). Track work and compile an annual end-of-year report. Attend office and departmental meetings, and serve on campus committees as needed. Support Department of Student Engagement initiatives and annual events. Assist with general office tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Master's Degree and minimum 3-5 years residence hall or student leadership and operations oversight Strong commitment to students and their growth. Positive attitude and solid attention to details and organization. Must have a commitment to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus Cultural competence, cultural humility, and experience working with students from various identities and lived experiences Foundational knowledge of faith traditions and religious literacy Experience directly supporting international, BIPOC, first-generation and low income, LGBTQIA+ students, students of faith, students with disabilities, etc Ability to take initiative, work independently and be a strong team member. Be able to exercise sound judgment.
