Overview:

SOSi is currently seeking an Associate Systems Administrator (Active Directory) in Fort Huachuca, AZ . The ideal candidate will possess experience in Active Directory/Security/Server Administration. This position will support the Active Directory team, which provides cutting edge services for the customer.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer Active Directory (AD) Services using enterprise tool sets such as Native Microsoft tools, Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM) and Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
  • Effectively troubleshoot and document complex technical issues
  • Document technical troubleshooting efforts in ticketing system and Knowledge Management Systems

  • Ensure server configuration compliance with DoD and Army regulations

  • Work independently and as a team member; set priorities and organize work to meet deadline

  • Follow organizational processes and polices

  • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support

  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility
  • HS +2 years of experience at a minimum or AA/AS
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Must obtain a Microsoft server specific certification (ex. MCP 70-410 or AZ-900 or 98-365) or higher within 180 days of hire
  • Requires a foundational understanding of Active Directory (AD).
  • Working with AD or the Army's specific version of it, Army Unified Directory Service (AUDS).
  • There will be opportunities for additional training across both the AD and AUDS platforms.
  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations
  • Candidate must communicate effectively with team members and team lead
  • Must have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of client/server hardware and software configuration
  • Familiarity with the following:
    • Active Directory Domain Services and/or Microsoft Entra ID
    • Microsoft Windows Server operating systems such as Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, or 2022
    • Physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers
    • Networking concepts
    • Creating and/or modifying scripts (batch, PowerShell)
    • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
    • DISA STIGs and IAVAs
    • McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)
Working Conditions:
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
