Exciting opportunity to join a new emerging business in Transportation! We are a startup team looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, analytical and customer‑obsessed individual to help create and lead the Business Development strategy. The ideal candidate will be excited about launching a new program from the beginning of its life cycle and will have familiarity with leading sales generation with both small and large customers. We are reinventing the approach to selling in this industry and looking for a candidate who can partner with Product Management and Tech as we challenge the status quo and invent on behalf of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Broadening Amazon Shipping adoption through institution‑wide deployment and developing relationships with decision makers across functional areas.
Ensuring recommended solutions meet customer needs and recommending alternatives that fit their needs, including contracting and competitive requirements, technical integration or rate negotiations. Integration with enterprise technologies (authentication to reconciliation) is common in this segment, requiring navigation of technical vetting conversations involving Amazon Shipping partner teams such as Legal, Sales Operations, and Integrations.
Managing the full customer relationship from end to end while coordinating necessary resources to apply the solution appropriately to address customer pain points. Supply Chain responsibility is often distributed across different locations or regions, underscoring the need for the Sr. Business Development Manager to influence change at all levels. These roles typically include selling to the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and/or Chief Operations Officer. Launching new locations, onboarding, handling operations and driving customer spend are all key responsibilities.
Escalating customer service issues and learning best practices as it relates to the role. They connect with internal sponsors to ensure the solution meets customer needs. These teams include Sales Operations, Operations, Demand Generation, Customer Service, Legal, and Integrations.
Day in the Life
Engage both internally and externally at Amazon to understand key customer pain points, generate strategic and impactful solutions, and drive adoption via active sales tactics of your product line.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
5+ years of professional or military experience
Bachelor's degree
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work and thrive in ambiguity at a rapid pace.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining and driving complex program initiatives with customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
