Key Responsibilities:
Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload materials from trucks and shipping containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Inventory Management: Assist in sorting, organizing, and storing inventory in designated warehouse locations. Ensure accuracy in inventory counts and maintain proper documentation as required.
Material Handling: Move materials and products throughout the warehouse as directed, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage or loss.
Order Picking and Packing: Fulfill orders by accurately picking items from inventory according to picking lists or packing slips. Pack orders securely for shipment, following established procedures to prevent damage during transit.
Quality Control: Inspect materials and products for defects or damage, reporting any issues to supervisors for resolution. Ensure that all products meet quality standards before they are shipped or stored.
General Maintenance: Keep warehouse areas clean and organized, including sweeping floors, emptying trash bins, and maintaining aisle clearances for safe movement of personnel and equipment.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Follow proper lifting techniques and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals and meet customer demands. Communicate effectively and contribute positively to team dynamics.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred but not required.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
· Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory management and order fulfillment.
· Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
· Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (6:00 am - 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm - 6:00 am) from Monday to Thursday, with potential for overtime as needed.
