HR Business Partner
The HR Business Partner acts as a strategic and operational link between management and employees. The role involves developing, implementing and monitoring HR processes and projects in the areas of personnel policy, talent development, internal communication, well‑being and optimisation of HR systems. The HR BP contributes to a strong corporate culture and supports managers in achieving their team objectives.
HR strategy, Strategic HR projects & Development
Monitoring and adjusting the HR strategy, further developing and implementing initiatives.
Drawing up the annual HR budget in line with strategic objectives and personnel needs.
Analysing HR data and KPIs; reporting to management; and formulating actions for improvement.
Rolling out culture and values programmes within the organisation.
Facilitating reflection meetings and translating results into training and development plans.
Managing the 9-box model and supporting managers in talent and competence development.
Developing a coaching programme for managers.
Translating job descriptions into competencies and linking them to training initiatives.
Coordinating onboarding programmes and developing career paths.
Monitoring and updating the salary policy.
Communication & Follow‑up
Organising monthly follow‑up meetings with managers and management, including preparation and follow‑up of action points. Supporting managers with HR‑related issues.
Managing and updating the HR SharePoint site as an internal communication channel.
Preparing and distributing the quarterly HR newsflash.
Conducting exit interviews and following up on trends/areas for improvement.
Updating and maintaining the welcome brochure, employment regulations and policies.
Committee & Welfare Policy
Preparing and taking minutes of the monthly meeting.
Following up on actions from monthly committee meetings.
Following up on the 2026–2027 prevention plan and implementing actions relating to wellbeing at work.
Coordinating the appointment of and cooperation with the internal Prevention Advisor and Confidential Advisor.
Identifying wellbeing needs and proposing initiatives that contribute to a healthy working culture.
HR Systems & Afas Optimisations
Managing and optimising HR processes within Afas.
Implementing improvements based on user feedback and HR policy.
Defining KPIs and developing reporting in collaboration with Afas/FIN.
Recruitment & selection
Drafting and publishing job vacancy texts.
Managing the entire selection process: screening, interviews, evaluation, contract proposals, keeping candidate data and progress up to date.
Coordinating collaborations with external partners.
Together with the HR Officer, you will further shape the HR policy. You will take the lead within the HR team and manage the reception staff. You will be closely involved with the Management. You will be based at the three offices in Brussels, Ghent and Roeselare.
Profile
At least 10 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
Both strategic and operational approach.
Thorough knowledge of social legislation and HR processes.
Experience with HR information systems, preferably Afas.
Strong communication skills, discretion and organisational talent.
Proactive attitude with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Language skills: you are trilingual: NL – FR – ENG
