Hourly Pay Rate: $35.25

Responsibilities The Maintenance Lead Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day general residence and facility maintenance with an emphasis on safety. The role is expected to manage timely repairs through the workorder system, lead projects, and preserve optimum quality of products. This position requires effective communication with the maintenance team, property leaders, association members and other departments as needed.

Qualifications

Valid Hawaii State Driver's License with acceptable driving record required

High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate needed

Requires three or more years of previous hotel departmental management experience with a commitment to guest service and satisfaction

Two years of vocational, trade or community college or formal post-high school education in the field of Hospitality Management preferred

Requires excellent time and project management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed

Display strong mechanical ability and safe use of hand and power tools

Knowledge of repair and replacement of general fixtures, general repair includes doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, furniture, cabinetry, and appliances

Previous experience in areas such as building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, masonry, painting, carpentry, and basic lock repairs required

Advanced understanding of electrical and plumbing repairs

Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision

Proactive approach to problem resolution, investigation, and research

Must have the ability to work cohesively with team members and lead projects

Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments to achieve goals of the Rental Program as it relates to the manager’s role
