About the practice Three to four doctor, high volume walk in clinic focused on efficient, high quality care at reasonable prices. Seven exam rooms, a dedicated euthanasia room, treatment room, and a fully staffed, full service operating room. Full service on site pharmacy with a Registered Pharmacist Mon–Fri), in house compounding, and extensive acute/maintenance inventory. Advanced equipment: digital radiography, high tech ultrasound, dental, oxygen cages, cold laser, PRP injection, Phovia, IDEXX and Zoetis in house analyzers, BIOMÉRIEUX and IDEXX progesterone testing (strong reproduction caseload). External labs: Antech, IDEXX; university partners include Michigan State, Minnesota Urolith, Kansas State, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Non corporate autonomy: practice medicine “your way,” prioritizing the clientʼs best interest.

Position Overview Seeking one or two Veterinarians for a dynamic small animal setting; strong surgical interest welcomed, and a medicine/diagnostics focused track is equally supported. Mentorship available in a wide range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high quality medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals. Perform and/or assist in daily surgeries (examples below) with mentorship as desired. Conduct diagnostics using digital imaging and in house lab platforms; coordinate external lab work when indicated. Collaborate with pharmacy team on on site compounding and medication management. Educate clients, document thoroughly, and contribute to an efficient walk in workflow.

Representative Surgeries Performed Dentals and mass removals; C sections; splenectomies; PDA; hernia repairs; gallbladder procedures; perineal urethrostomy PU ; enterotomy; GDV/bloat; tumor resections; ACL; FHO; patellar luxation; bone pinning; OHE/castrations. Mentorship available for the right candidate.

Schedule Weekdays starting 8 30 AM until the last clients are seen (clinic closes at 6 00 PM . Two Saturdays out of every three, 8 30 AM until last clients are seen (clinic closes at 2 00 PM . After hours cases referred to late night facilities; optional C section coverage for additional pay.

Compensation Base salary: negotiable and commensurate with experience and productivity; target range $140,000 $200,000 . Additional pay: 40% of the fee for emergencies handled outside normal hours (hospital or field).

Benefits Health insurance (plan with $2,500 deductible). 401(k)/SIMPLE IRA with 3% employer match. 13 days PTO for vacation/sick/CE; unused days reimbursed or rolled to next year; additional days unpaid. Pre approval required. CE support: $500 annually. Licensure/memberships covered: Illinois State license, AVMA dues, DEA, CVMA or ISVMA dues, PLIT. Full service on site pharmacy support, in house compounding, and broad diagnostics platform.

Qualifications DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school. Illinois license (or eligibility) required. Comfort with a busy walk in model; excellent client communication. Interest in surgery and/or strong internal medicine/diagnostics. Willingness to learn advanced procedures is welcomed.
