ResourceTek is the Human Capital subsidiary of an ENR ranked, multi-discipline Engineering firm providing technical services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other technical disciplines. We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in managing large scale commercial projects for our client near Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client. Responsibilities: Has a solid understanding of construction safety practices. Has full ability to stop work if unsafe conditions exist and reports concerns to the Project Superintendent and Safety department. Understands all trades, including MEP, and has strong knowledge of ground up construction. Conducts constructability reviews as design progresses and develops conceptual and detailed quantity survey estimates. Assists preconstruction department with solicitation of subcontractor proposals, development of subcontractor bid packages, review of subcontractor scopes and pricing, and preparation of project estimate. Accurately and efficiently prepares detailed schedules, making adjustments as needed. Forecasts costs throughout the lifecycle of the project. Understands different delivery methods and contract types and able to foster and maintain construction management, design-build, and design-assist relationships. Provides guidance and oversight to project team members responsible for project documentation and regularly verifies for accuracy and deficiencies. Supervises the submittal process, identifying and resolving any high impact issues that occur. Makes subcontractor selection and manages entire subcontract process. Can negotiate and resolve nearly all subcontractor issues and knows when to include higher level team members from both sides. Trains, mentors, coaches, and evaluates Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers. Develops financial management skills by reviewing financial statements with Senior Team Leadership. Understands and monitors construction insurance and bonding process. Develops project-specific punchlist approach and integrates owner, CM, and designers into the program. Arranges and attends the punchlist walkthrough. Manages project closeout from beginning to end. Monitors costs on Self-Performed Work, developing mitigating measures as needed. Understands and manages all costs associated with a change request. Partners with the Safety Director and Quality Control Director to manage and ensure compliance with each program’s policies, protocols, and government regulations for all projects. Ensures a harassment-free workplace for all employees. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 8+ years managing large scale commercial construction projects Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project). Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract management, and safety protocols. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. OSHA 10 Certification required. LEED Accreditation is a plus. Our client offers an industry leading compensation and benefits package.
