Construction Project Engineer - Canandaigua

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Location: Canandaigua, NY
Salary is based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview.
Requirements
Must be a US citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.
Duties / Responsibilities
Oversee construction management of ongoing construction projects and renovations.
Review contractors’ Quality Assurance Plan.
Oversee and perform three-phase inspections and surveillance of construction work to ensure compliance with the contract and specifications.
Review of design, comment logging and back-checking for Design‑Build projects.
Monitor submittals utilizing a submittal status log.
Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment.
Review and acknowledge daily reports, including verification of the project schedule by indicating the activities worked on that day and the activities behind schedule.
Maintain orderly working files for correspondence, minutes of meetings and conferences, payments, updated progress schedules, monthly progress reports, punch lists, field changes.
Review and process RFIs, and contract documents including amendments, notices to proceed, change orders, modifications, and other locally generated documents developed during construction.
Support construction contract modifications.
Perform critical path schedule review.
Education and Experience
7+ years of engineering and construction management experience.
Experience with construction administration and capability of handling large projects.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering.
US Army Corps of Engineers or other federal project experience preferred.
Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) preferred.
Experience reading construction plans and specifications.
Good written communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
Should enjoy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
