As the Application Management Advisor based in Houston, TX we are looking for a senior‑level, hands‑on IT professional with the potential to grow into a future IT leadership role at ENGIE. As an Application Management Sr. Advisor for ENGIE’s B2B Supply Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction and hands‑on management of key SaaS based software solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity for career advancement over the next few years. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the B2B Supply's applications portfolio, driving its roadmap, and managing projects within a complex, matrixed organization. We’re seeking a versatile candidate who can navigate both informational and operational technology landscapes effectively.

Reporting to the Application Management Director, your duties will include:

Overseeing all SaaS applications used within the ENGIE’s B2B Supply Business Unit, ensuring they align with organizational goals and deliver maximum value

Driving the execution of the data governance strategy, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance across all systems

Managing the complete lifecycle of SaaS applications, from planning and development to deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning

Optimizing application performance by identifying opportunities for improvement, enhancing efficiency, and elevating user experience

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure applications meet evolving business needs and support strategic objectives

Providing technical leadership in troubleshooting and resolving application‑related issues

Maintaining comprehensive documentation for application processes, business process flows and procedures, and technical configurations to support transparency and efficiency

Staying ahead of industry trends and best practices in application management and integrating them into the organization’s approach

Ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements for all applications to safeguard the organization’s operations

What You’ll Bring

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of education requirements we will accept a combination of years of experience and other education experience for the role where you gained hands‑on experience in data governance, developing and executing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance

A minimum of ten (10) years of proven expertise in application management, managing complex application portfolios including end‑to‑end lifecycle management, development or configurations, deployment, maintenance, and retirement

You have a strong background in IT strategy and optimization, with a proven ability to align technology solutions with business objectives and enhance performance to achieve organizational goals

You have experience managing cross‑functional projects in matrixed, fast‑paced environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities

You are knowledgeable in security and compliance standards, including regulatory requirements and best practices for securing applications and data

You are technically proficient in application management tools, technologies, and frameworks, with familiarity in modern architectures such as cloud‑based solutions and microservices

You have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of diagnosing issues, interpreting complex data, and implementing innovative, results‑driven solutions

You are an effective leader and communicator, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels

You are adaptable and committed to continuous learning, with a passion for staying current on emerging trends in IT and operational technology

You are knowledgeable in SaaS CRM, Billing, and Pricing applications, including systems such as Siebel, Salesforce, Customized Energy Solutions (CES), Vertex One, and Therm

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy consisting of in‑office and work‑from home opportunities

Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
