Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Hybrid (3 days onsite per week – Wednesday required) Soni’s client in the legal industry is seeking an experienced Fiduciary Accountant to join its Tax Department. This role supports complex fiduciary, estate, gift, and private foundation matters and is ideal for a senior-level accountant with deep fiduciary tax expertise in a law firm, accounting firm, or bank trust environment. The position offers meaningful responsibility, strong collaboration with attorneys and advisors, and the opportunity to play a critical role within a prestigious international law firm. Responsibilities of the Fiduciary Accountant
Prepare fiduciary income tax returns for estates and trusts and maintain related accounting records. Prepare estate, gift, and private foundation tax returns. Perform fiduciary, estate, and gift tax research to support planning and compliance. Calculate trustee and executor commissions, unitrust payments, and annuity payments. Coordinate distributions to trust beneficiaries and maintain detailed payment records. Prepare estate and gift tax calculations for estate planning matters. Arrange for payment of estimated taxes and monitor filing deadlines. Maintain tax ticklers and ensure timely filing of all required returns. Communicate with the IRS and state tax authorities to resolve tax matters. Collaborate closely with attorneys, investment advisors, and administrators as questions arise. Requirements of the Fiduciary Accountant
CPA required . Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 10+ years of fiduciary tax experience
in a law firm, accounting firm, or bank trust department. Strong knowledge of tax forms
1041, 709, 706, and 990-PF . Experience with
ProSystem or GoSystem . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Demonstrated job stability and commitment to high-quality work. Preferred Skills of the Fiduciary Accountant
Experience with
Omega and/or OneSource . Background supporting estates, trusts, and private foundations. Ability to build strong working relationships with attorneys and clients. Experience working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually Why Work Here
