Summary of Position The ETL Report Developer is responsible for data analysis, validation, cleansing, collection and reporting related to healthcare. Extract and analyze data from various sources, including databases, manual files, and external/internal websites. Document reporting requirements and processes and validate data components as required. Develop ad‑hoc reports to conduct data and trend analysis, aggregation, and validation. Develops ETL packages to support the building of the ODS and Data Warehouse. Work with business clients and healthcare leaders to analyze business data information requirements and translate solutions in alignment with industry best practices.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in health, IT, or business field
Experience
Experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL packages using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services required
ETL experience to create data marts, data warehouse preferred.
Epic Clarity data model experience preferred
Skills
Strong proficiency in ETL tools, ideally SSIS
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Java)
Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
Knowledge of data quality and validation techniques
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Licenses & Certifications
Epic Clarity Cogito certification or obtain within 1 year of hire required

Essential Functions
Provides consistently exceptional care at all times.
Develops, maintains, and supports ETL packages in SSIS.
Develops and maintains reports in SSDT, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or any other reporting tool in use by the data team.
Documents ETL packages to track data lineage.
Functions as the reporting/data extract subject matter expert for the healthcare system.
Documents, tracks, and utilizes department incident management system.
Participates in Change Control processes.
Documents, tracks, and utilizes third party incident management system, as needed.
Provides excellent communication and is responsible for converting business and clinical requirements into clear technical solutions and code.
Identifies and resolves issues within the ETL pipeline to ensure smooth operation.
Maintains high performance and quality standards for ETL packages.
Writes complex SQL queries, including query tuning, to support data operations.
Designs and implements complete ETL/SSIS processes for ODS, Staging, and Data Warehousing environments.
Creates clear and comprehensive documentation for ETL/SSIS processes, data flows, and system designs.
Performs ad‑hoc data analysis to respond to immediate business requirements.
Facilitates meetings with business users to prioritize requirements, set expectations, and review new functionalities/designs.
Provides training, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to peers to enhance team capabilities.
Responds to the needs of the department by performing other duties, as necessary.
