Managing Director- Talent Advisor Serving the Scientific Community We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Quality Assurance Manager

to join our team at a leading food manufacturing facility. The QA Manager will oversee daily QA operations, ensure regulatory and food safety compliance (e.g., FDA, FSMA, GFSI), and support continuous improvement initiatives to uphold the highest quality standards in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day Quality Assurance operations to ensure all products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.

Monitor manufacturing processes and production lines for compliance with GMP, HACCP, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.

Coordinate and perform quality inspections, sampling, testing, and approval of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.

Implement, support, and maintain food safety programs, including allergen management, sanitation controls, traceability systems, and supplier verification.

Conduct internal audits and support external audits from regulatory agencies, third-party auditors, and customers.

Train, coach, and mentor QA technicians and production personnel on quality systems and food safety requirements.

Ensure accurate, complete, and well-organized quality documentation, including batch records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), deviation reports, and corrective action records.

Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Production, and Supply Chain teams to address quality-related issues and support continuous improvement.

Ensure proper calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory and QA equipment.

Assist in developing and maintaining product specifications for both new and existing products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.

3+ years of QA experience in a food manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, etc.).

Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quality Systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong attention to detail.
