Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages, and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within the limit of authority. Mentors and provides direction to junior employees.
Key Responsibilities
Recognize and identify body parts of a vehicle or other potential property damage.
Identify customer needs and work to meet them using appropriate customer service skills.
Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle the most complex cases.
Apply an advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company and the industry.
Recommend process improvements.
Apply increased experience at the Senior Adjuster level or rotate into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, Litigation, etc.).
For claims involving injuries (if handled), review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex or catastrophic injury claims.
Handle investigations regarding all aspects of the most complex auto claims with discretion and independence within the increased level of authority.
Experience 3 or more years of experience (Preferred).
Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500
Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $104,100
Adjuster Sr Cons II: $68,500 - $105,140
And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes incentive pay (commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable.
