In this role, you will lead our crew of pipefitters to assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
Essential Functions:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of pipe workers
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of piping systems
Plan and schedule work activities, ensuring that materials, tools, and equipment are available and in good working condition
Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations
Provide training and guidance to crew members, promoting a safe and productive work environment
Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the installation processMaintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, time sheets, and material usage
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
Qualifications:
Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipe, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of piping systems
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction
