Payroll Executive

Orange County, NY 10910
Pay Range:
$90,000 - $130,000 (Bonus eligible)
What’s the Job?
Provide strategic oversight and execution of end-to-end payroll operations for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure full adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws, wage and hour requirements, and reporting mandates.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Manage and enhance vendor relationships, including oversight of third-party payroll service providers.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive payroll experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or team management capacity.
Deep expertise in payroll operations and regulatory compliance in a multi-state environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to employee service.
Proficiency in UKG and UKG UTA preferred; experience managing HRIS payroll systems strongly desired.
