PowerVault Storage Engineer
Location: Arlington, VA. Salary: $100,949.33 - $137,002.66.
New Millennium Consulting seeks an experienced Storage Engineer to deploy, configure, and manage Dell PowerVault storage solutions to support enterprise applications and data services. This role focuses on ensuring data availability, performance, integrity, and scalability across on-premises and hybrid IT environments.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Dell PowerVault storage systems (ME, MD, and related series)
Manage storage provisioning, LUN creation, RAID configuration, and capacity planning
Monitor storage performance, health, and alerts using PowerVault Manager and monitoring tools
Perform firmware upgrades, controller maintenance, and lifecycle management
Troubleshoot storage-related issues including disk failures, controller faults, performance degradation, and connectivity problems
Configure and manage SAN/NAS connectivity (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SAS as applicable)
Integrate PowerVault storage with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V
Implement and manage data protection, snapshots, replication, and backup integrations
Ensure compliance with data security, retention, and operational standards
Coordinate with vendors for support cases, hardware replacements, and warranty services
Maintain technical documentation, storage diagrams, and operational procedures
