The Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public highways and on construction jobsites in a safe and efficient manner. Heavy trucks may include end dump trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, or lowboy trailer trucks. End dump and dump trucks will haul aggregates, sand, concrete, hot‑mix asphalt, and other construction materials to active work zones. Lowboy drivers will haul heavy equipment to and from jobsites. The commercial truck driver must also complete pre‑trip checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, securing loads, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the foreman or operations manager. This position is primarily a field‑based position but may also be required to complete tasks in the office. Responsibilities
Attendance, punctuality, and dependability. Perform daily maintenance and pre‑trip checks. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations. Meet delivery and pickup schedules. Operate the truck in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as FMCA guidelines. Long and short distance driving. Obey and follow applicable traffic laws. Maneuver and back truck as required; must be able to drive a 13‑speed manual transmission. Have a working knowledge of construction job‑site activities. Carry and display licenses as required by law. Make safety programs a matter of vital concern. Participate and engage in safety meetings. Wear PPE. Follow all safety rules, housekeeping mandates, and report hazards and incidents. Report defects, accidents, and violations. Follow all verbal and written directions. Show willingness and demonstrative ability to take direction from senior truck drivers. Not afraid to ask questions and request training. Participate in required meetings. Demonstrate initiative to improve own knowledge, skills, and abilities. Dress in appropriate attire. Track all time worked on pay sheets. Perform daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.). Secure truck at end of shift. Maintain physical stamina and fitness to operate truck without injury. Act in a professional manner. Be prepared to answer questions from dispatch, foreman, various managers, and senior drivers. Maintain a good attitude and people skills. Foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace. Be a productive team member that supports the team by going where needed, assisting where required, and maintains good working relationships with fellow drivers, site crews, management, administration, and customers. Ability to handle a great deal of stress over long periods of time. Demonstrate company core values: Service, Family, Safety, Integrity, and Pride. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement. Other Duties

High school diploma or equivalent. 21 years of age minimum. Must have a valid CDL with good driving record and no major violations. Able to pass pre‑employment testing, including a drug screen and physical. Trained to operate tractor‑trailer. Knowledge of various construction equipment. Good customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers. Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be responsible, self‑motivated, self‑starter, personable and well organized. Able to use cell phone, cell phone apps, and CB radio. Must pass criminal background check and drug screening. Must read and speak English. Comply with all applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures. U.S. Citizenship, permanent residency, or work visa is required. Certificates / Licenses
Valid Medical Card. Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Supervisor Responsibilities
Employee must have the ability to self‑supervise. They may be responsible for working independently with direction from senior employees, supervisor, or manager. Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Must be able to climb in and around assigned trucks. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. Failure to meet these requirements may result in withdrawal of employment or other employment action. Benefits
