Position Overview Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers. Receives direction from: Providers, coordinators and Clinical Managers/Supervisors. Gives direction to: LPN's, CMA's, CNA's and Schedulers. Works cooperatively with: Providers, Healthcare Professionals, Allied Health Staff, patients and families.

Education

Graduate of a nursing program

Experience

Proficient in starting IV's and using infusion pumps, experience with chemotherapy infusions preferred

Familiar with port draws, port flushes and sterile dressing change.

Possesses excellent mathematical/computation skills.

Ability to work independently and to multi task.

Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with staff and/or providers in all departments

Licenses & Certifications

RN MT licensure

BLS, ACLS required

Bio/chemotherapy Certified within one year of hire

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Medical Terminology

Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures.

Basic office skills
