Registered Dietitian (RD) Job Summary
Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented
Registered Dietitian (RD)
to join our interdisciplinary care team. The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for assessing residents’ nutritional needs, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and facility dietary regulations. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident health, recovery, and overall quality of life.
Registered Dietitian (RD) Key Responsibilities
Assess residents’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans
Conduct nutritional assessments upon admission and at required intervals
Monitor weight changes, lab values, and nutritional risk factors
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (CMS, DOH, etc.)
Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff as needed
Participate in care plan meetings and quality assurance activities
Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
Ensure compliance with therapeutic diet orders and food safety standards
Registered Dietitian (RD) Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure (if applicable)
Experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
Knowledge of CMS regulations and dietary guidelines for skilled nursing facilities
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
