Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Associate or Bachelor’s degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy
American Heart Association BLS; 2+ years of recent relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
Operate imaging equipment and review images to ensure high quality for diagnosis.
Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicate summaries to physicians/health professionals, and alert them to urgent findings.
Prepare patients for procedures, provide education throughout the ultrasound exam.
Review patient medical history, record imaging results in patient records, and coordinate care with facility departments.
Compensation
$2,000 – $2,186 per week (based on an 8‑hour shift, 40 hours per week). Estimated weekly payment may include taxable wages plus tax‑free reimbursements for meals, housing and incidentals.
