Role Description This is a slow build to 25 hours per week, hybrid role for a licensed Mental Health Counselor located in San Antonio, TX. The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for providing individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and offering support for clients dealing with a range of emotional and psychological challenges. Additional responsibilities include coordinating case management services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications
Experience in Mental Health counseling and a thorough understanding of Psychology principles
Ability to attend clinical case consultation every Monday at noon
Ability to work at least one evening per week as well as every Saturday
Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Case Management to provide organized, effective client care
Skills in Relationship Counseling and effective communication to support clients in improving interpersonal connections and managing conflicts
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
Licensed or working toward licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent in Texas (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain client confidentiality
Excellent organizational skills and a compassionate approach to client care
Previous experience in trauma-informed care is a plus
