Overview
Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant – Part‑time with Benefits Days at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role focuses on delivering evidence‑based nursing care, medication administration, electronic documentation, patient education and multidisciplinary discharge planning in a high‑intensity bone marrow transplant environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver nursing practices according to up‑to‑date evidence‑based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent individualized patient care.
Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patient status, rendered care and treatment plans.
Administer medication utilizing the newest advancements in bar‑scanning and documentation technologies designed to ensure the safest delivery of medications to our patients.
Document point‑of‑care electronic assessments, plan‑of‑care, interventions and evaluation of rendered care.
Provide patient and family centered education aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management.
Provide multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
Qualifications
Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
BMT nursing experience is preferred.
BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
Must be willing to attend classroom and clinical training to become chemotherapy competent within six (6) months of hire.
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is preferred.
Strong sense of accountability, teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and passion for delivering highest quality patient care.
Compensation Minimum rate of $42.19 hourly. This is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act.
