Guidance Counselor

in Bryant, Arkansas✨

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay : starting at $60,000 a year and increasing based on level of education and experience.

What you will do As a Guidance Counselor, you will provide students with the tools and support they need to succeed in school and beyond. You’ll develop graduation and career plans, offer individual and group counseling, and prepare students for employment or post-secondary education. Working closely with case managers, families, and community partners, you’ll guide students through transitions, facilitate job readiness and life skills programs, and act as a mentor and positive role model every step of the way.

To be considered you should

Possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree

Possess current licensure in the state of Arkansas for Guidance & Counseling

Have case management experience

Prior experience dealing with juvenile placement agencies

Be at least 21 years of age

Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical, and TB test

Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry

Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Education Bachelor's or better. Master’s or better.
