Star Service of New Orleans,
the leading HVAC Service provider throughout the entire Gulf Coast, is seeking an experienced
Industrial HVAC Technician
to join our Plant Operations team in
the Greater New Orleans area!
Main Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, service, and repairs on all HVAC plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues with plant machinery, piping systems, and control equipment.
Assist with the installation, relocation, and commissioning of new equipment.
Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to guide maintenance, service, and repair activities.
Conduct routine inspections and testing of plant systems to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
Ability to work on Trane/McQuay, Carrier, Mitsubishi, Daikin, York, Birdwell, Safe Air Technology, and Specific Systems equipment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or plant operations role.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures meticulously.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to work on pressurized units.
Possess a “whatever it takes” attitude.
