Pay Range $25.00-$30.00
Matt Talbot Residential Treatment is currently seeking a compassionate, skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with behavioral health experience to join our team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the physical and emotional well‑being of our clients in a structured recovery setting.
Position Overview: As an LPN in our residential program, you work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide direct nursing support, medication administration, and day‑to‑day assistance on the unit. This is not your typical nursing position so if that excites you, continue reading! A typical day includes passing AM, Noon and 4PM meds, triaging medical concerns and consulting with the Nurse Manager, prompting clients to wake up and get dressed for the day, sometimes coaching the clients along the way, directing clients to adhere to their daily schedule, supervising client interactions, monitoring meals, orienting new admissions, and providing general oversight of the unit to ensure a safe and serene environment.
You will model professional behavior and contribute to a trauma‑informed environment for our valued clients.
Pay: $30.00 per hour contingent on experience and meeting education requirements
Schedule:
Ten‑hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Three holidays per year
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medications accurately and in compliance with state regulations
Monitor clients for side effects and effectiveness of medications
Maintain accurate medication records and documentationProvide routine triage and respond to health‑related concerns
Support the daily functioning of the unit, including client engagement and general oversight
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to include licensed mental health therapists, case managers, substance abuse counselors, and external healthcare providers
Uphold infection control protocols and residential safety guidelines
Assist with crisis response and de‑escalation as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience in residential, behavioral health, or substance use settings preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a SUD environment
Commitment to trauma‑informed and recovery‑oriented care
