Play & Learning Specialist (Behavior Technician / RBT)
At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. Our care model draws from the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a fun and engaging, play‑based form of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
Key Responsibilities
Work one‑on‑one with children aged 2–6 in our clinic, using play to teach new skills and support growth.
Implement therapy plans designed by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using play‑based ABA principles.
Encourage social, communication, and learning skills through engaging activities and routines.
Support and partner with families by sharing updates and celebrating progress.
Participate in ongoing training and supervision to grow your skills and maintain RBT certification.
Qualifications
Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program (bonus for Child Development, Psychology, or related fields).
Excitement about working with children; prior experience with kids in any setting (teaching, child care, coaching, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within the first 6 weeks of employment (Soar provides paid training).
Note: RBT certification required for the CO Springs location.
Reliable transportation to training location and local center; punctuality is essential.
Physical requirements: ability to sit or kneel on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs., and move quickly to support a child’s needs.
Comfort using computers and tablets for session notes.
Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to learn.
What We Offer
$21.50‑$28.50/hour starting pay with regular bonus and promotion opportunities.
All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion.
