REGISTERED NURSE (Ambulatory Care – Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic)
Michigan Medicine invites applications for a registered nurse role in the Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic at the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Salary & Compensation Hourly range: $41.78 – $64.81 per hour
Differential pay: Evening $3.00; Night $4.00; Day Weekend $2.90; Evening Weekend $5.90; Night Weekend $6.90; Charge Nurse $1.00
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to the pediatric pulmonary patient population
Assist providers with clinic patient care including treatments, assessments, and orders
Manage telephone triage for patients, families, clinicians and other healthcare team members
Collaborate with health team members and resources to ensure continuity of care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Function independently and demonstrate strong motivation to provide excellent care and advocacy
Expectations
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication with internal and external customers
Adaptability to changing needs and priorities at clinic, department, and institutional levels
Accountability and dependability, including completion of work, mandatory training, and goal setting within timelines
Excellent attendance records
Prioritization and problem‑solving skills
Constructive conflict resolution approaches
Critical thinking and nursing process proficiency
Customer service, interpersonal communication, and building respectful relationships
Patient and family education related to chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and coronary artery disease
Typing proficiency and electronic health record documentation
Management of complex clinical issues using assessment skills, protocols, and evidence‑based interventions
Required Qualifications
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Michigan
One year ambulatory care clinic experience within pediatrics with in‑basket management and telephone triage
Minimum of three years recent RN experience with pediatric patients in the last five years
BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
Pediatric pulmonary experience
Certification in ambulatory care nursing (AMB‑BC)
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
Work Schedule 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), day shift, specific hours to be determined upon hire. Floats to designated unit(s) in times of low census may be required.
