Responsible for administrative and safety related support activities, under the direction of the Safety Manager, to monitor, administer, implement, maintain and report on the location's risk management, safety, and related compliance programs. Works closely with safety manager, as directed, through meetings, emails and phone calls to ensure that all required information is collected and reported accurately and timely. Position Responsibilities:
May assist with safety incident/accident investigations, documentation and reporting. Prepares, maintains and distributes reports, as assigned, on a periodic basis for all safety programs, including newsletters, DriveCam, Perform training, Driver's Alert, OSHA, CS STARs, safety committees, worker's comp, audits and others as needed. Assists with online training program (Perform), including maintaining schedule and assigning safety training, preparing reports, and assisting operating company personnel with questions. May provide support during new hire safety orientation. Assists with DOT compliance activities, including reports, follow-up and gathering data for audits, MVR process, FADV compliance, random testing, post injury/accident testing and related programs/processes. Understands and enforces compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures. May be involved in providing associate training to ensure compliance with all related programs and policies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience 1-3 years experience Microsoft Office, administrative work experience handling large amounts of data, spreadsheets, web-based systems/portals and customer support related activities. Preferred qualifications:
Associates Degree/2-year technical 35 years of experience supporting safety, risk management, or compliance programs in a warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, or distribution environment Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT compliance, and workers' compensation processes Proven experience assisting with safety incident/accident investigations, documentation, and reporting Experience coordinating and tracking safety training through online learning management systems (e.g., Perform. UKG, Workday, or similar platforms) Experience supporting safety programs such as driver safety, audits, safety committees, compliance reporting, and corrective action follow-up Strong administrative and analytical skills with the ability to prepare, maintain, and distribute detailed safety reports accurately and timely Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with strong attention to detail and data accuracy Demonstrated ability to work closely with Safety Managers, operations leaders, and cross-functional teams Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow up on time-sensitive compliance matters Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Prior experience in foodservice distribution, logistics, or transportation strongly preferred EEO Statement:
