Veterinary Oncology Technician to

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) . 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 Specialties. We are growing and seeking motivated, positive, compassionate individuals for our Nursing staff.

About the Role Dedicated Oncology Technician to support our Oncologist. Precise, compassionate, efficient patient care. Advanced clinical duties: radiographs, lab diagnostics, safe administration of chemotherapy. Detail-oriented, strong technical skills, empathetic client communication.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Facilitate doctor schedule to align with patient care needs.

Timely, thorough, accurate patient care client interactions, including collecting history and medication management/refills.

Ensure smooth and excellent client experience through communication, schedule management, answering questions/concerns.

Perform lab work, radiographs, sample submissions.

Perform general anesthesia and sedation monitoring for procedures.

Appropriately handle chemotherapy medications per hospital standards.

Proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture skills.

Administer chemotherapy treatments as directed by Oncologist.

Maintain hospital cleanliness by performing general cleaning duties: laundry, sweeping, mopping, etc.

Other duties as needed.

Compensation $25 - $35 hourly, based on experience.

Schedule Full Time – Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required in a surgical setting.

Registered Veterinary Technician in Colorado, or ability to become registered upon hire.

Fluent English speaking & reading required; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Specialty Hospital.

Experience with performing anesthesia.

Ability to multitask and anticipate the department’s needs.

Excellent communication.

Experience using Medical Record and Whiteboard programs in a veterinary setting.
