Paint Support Tech
The primary responsibility of Paint Support Tech is to efficiently prepare vehicles for painting in cooperation with the Painter to ensure efficient workflow. Duties may include sanding and buffing and maintenance of paint booth and workspace. Painter Helpers will be required to repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in accordance with ABRA and OEM standards using our state-of-the-art equipment.
Essential Job Duties
Effectively and safely prep vehicles for the paint process
Sanding and buffing of vehicles
Maintenance of paint book and workspace
Repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in accordance with ABRA and OEM standards.
Qualifications Skills/ Requirements
1+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
Be at least 18 years of age
Nice to have, but not required: Previous collision experience
Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
Be able to understand instructions – written and verbal
Can prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions The position is based in a normal shop environment. Occasional physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to inspect repairs, and lifting and carrying objects over 50lbs. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with moderate levels of noise. Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside. Required to wear protective equipment when necessary. Occasional sedentary work. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
