Registered Nurses (RNs) provide medical oversight to adults with developmental disabilities who attend Arc GLOW’s certified day program settings in Genesee and Orleans Counties. Additionally, RNs provide education, oversight and guidance to direct support staff, to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of these individuals. Working with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, and in collaboration with management, RNs maintain the compliance and success of the day programs they support . For this position, the RNs will enjoy a flexible day-time Monday-Friday schedule, freeing up weekends and holidays for self-care and time with family and friends .

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:
Full-time
WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?
Visit assigned sites on a weekly basis, providing a written site visit of completed tasks and delegated follow-up
Keeping in close contact with internal and external team members
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and agency policy
Create plans of care for direct support staff to follow, train staff on the implementation of these plans and direct care tasks
Ensure proper medical care is being completed, both in home and in the community, including follow through with medical recommendations and referrals to specialists
Review health trends and data for assigned individuals, to identify care needs and appropriate medical follow up
Responsible for in-service training.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESIDENTIAL NURSE:
Current NYS License as a Registered Nurse
Two years of specialized training and/or one year of experience with individuals with development disabilities.
Valid NYS drivers license with a safe driving record per agency policy ;
use of personal vehicle is required
