THIS IS A ONSITE POSITION NOT REMOTE OR TELEHEALTH
The candidate is responsible for providing nutritional care to patients through nutrition screening, assessment, counseling, metabolic monitoring, and communication with interdisciplinary team members. This is an inpatient, clinical dietitian role.
Hours Monday–Friday with a start time between 7:00–8:30 AM and an end time between 3:30–5:00 PM. Total: 8.5 hour day (30 minute lunch break)
Rotating weekends: each dietitian works either Saturday or Sunday approximately every 3–4 weeks, with a weekday off during that week.
Job Responsibilities
Complete initial nutrition assessments in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines
Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans tailored to patients
Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of Medical Nutrition Therapy interventions and follow up appropriately
Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams to determine risk or degree of malnutrition
Assess patients for food security and provide resources as appropriate
Work with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient care
Provide education to patients and families on nutrition recommendations while taking into consideration cultural needs and readiness to learn
Attend interdisciplinary rounds or meetings assigned
Manage parenteral nutrition support for patients
Participate in departmental Journal Clubs and education sessions to improve knowledge and skills
Participate in quality and productivity improvement projects
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from an accredited institution
Masters degree from an accredited institution if you became a dietitian after January 1st, 2024
Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Licensed by Georgia's State Board of Licensed Dietitians Commission on Dietetic Registration
