Job Description We are seeking a
Physical Therapist
to join our team. We offer diverse specialized services, including balance and fall prevention, vestibular rehabilitation, gait analysis, sports injury rehabilitation, spine rehabilitation, pre‑and post‑surgical rehabilitation, and manual therapy. As a physical therapist at University Physical Therapy, your strong patient population further defines our reputation for delivering effective, personalized healthcare solutions. Responsibilities
Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
Review the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required.
Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
Hold responsibility for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals.
Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments.
Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience. Recent graduates welcome!
Graduate from a CAPTE‑accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current state of Virginia Physical Therapy license and CPR certification.
Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.
Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, database software, and MS Office.
