Seasonal Surgical ICU Registered Nurse – MEDICAL CITY DALLAS

Program Requirements
PRN Status with a Full-Time Schedule – Program Runs 9/21/25 to 4/4/26. Seasonal Staff are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4‑week schedule period. During the course of the 32‑week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call‑off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy. Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses. Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation. Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal Program for 2025‑26. Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program. Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department. Compensation
Surgical ICU Seasonal RN Specialty Rate: $62/hr plus applicable differentials. Responsibilities
Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non‑medicinal follow‑up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management. Manages evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients. Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery. Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (RN) Registered Nurse license. Associate Degree. Minimum of 1 year ICU/Critical Care RN experience required. Benefits
