Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist / Certified Respiratory Therapist
Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist for a full‑time, 14‑week assignment in Suffolk, VA. The role is a travel position, with nights from 7 pm to 7 am.
Compensation:
$70.00/hr for RRT or $66.00/hr for CRT. No benefits are offered.
Responsibilities The Registered Respiratory Therapist supports the overall pulmonary management by identifying and implementing physicians’ directed respiratory care interventions for individual or group patients. Key duties include:
Providing age‑specific assessment and treatment for patients ranging from neonates to adults in clinical and ambulatory settings.
Collaborating with nursing and other healthcare team members to deliver professional respiratory care practice.
Maintaining appropriate documentation and oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) as required.
Qualifications Education:
Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Certification / Licensure:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
State license from the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP).
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).
Experience:
One year of clinical respiratory care experience (preferred).
State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at the time of hire. New graduates must have a state license and BLS and obtain NBRC RRT within six months of hire.
