Compensation Base pay range: $21.70/hr - $36.95/hr. Minimum offer: $21.70/hr. Maximum offer: $33.14/hr.
Full time position, FTE 0.9. Work shift: 12 Hour Days (United States). Type of opportunity: Full time. Job exempt: No.

Responsibilities
Participates in the provision of patient care based on setting and acuity of patient care needs, ensuring a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Performs care within State Approved Scope of Practice and approved competencies.
Assists in cleaning and maintaining emergency supplies and equipment.
Monitors patients and maintains records using patient monitoring system and electronic health records, documenting and initiating charges for each patient treated.
Maintains proper functioning systems and reports malfunctions immediately per PHS procedure.
Documents and reports any pertinent changes to the Nurse, Charge Nurse, and Provider; provides patient report to other staff as necessary.
Communicates and processes necessary paperwork/information for patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
Participates in unit based Shared Governance activities and assists with implementation of changes as recommended by councils.
Performs other functions as directed.
Observes patient cardiac monitors and maintains records; reports any life‑threatening dysrhythmias.
Receives emergent and non‑emergent medical telephone calls from internal and external contacts, ensuring equal distribution of arriving patients by team in the ED.
Makes transfer arrangements with appropriate EMS transport agency and directs responding ambulance crews to appropriate ED areas.
Maintains positive communications and collaboration with EMS service line and other internal & external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Current New Mexico Paramedic licensure required.
National EMD licensure preferred.
Previous EMS Dispatch experience preferred.
2 years ED patient care experience including triage experience preferred.
Current CPR and ACLS required; PALS preferred.
Ability to type 20 wpm preferred.
Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions required.
Education & Credentials
High School Diploma or GED.
Emerg Med Tech/Paramedic‑NM.
Current BLS required.
