Base Pay Range
$77,000.00/yr - $83,000.00/yr Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Process, distribute, retrieve, maintain and archive all project related records received and sent by Los Angeles World Airport. Assist in managing project and program records, utilizing LAWA’s Project Management Information System, PMWeb, and hard‑copy files. The qualified candidate may be co‑located with the construction management team in a field construction environment once training is completed. Candidate should have the means to drive distances between office and field locations. Essential Job Duties
Control, scanning, indexing, linking, hard‑copy filing and distribution of documents in PMWeb. Manage flow of records to project participants, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications. Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using PMWeb, and retrieve documents through PMWeb software. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, self‑starter, results‑oriented, sensitive to deadlines, and able to adapt to changing priorities. May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element. May be assigned training duties to train new staff on document controls procedures. Other Required Duties
Assist the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Team in all matters related to project records and the control and distribution of documents in PMWeb. Support project teams in organizing workflows and approvals. Participate in project meetings as necessary. Hardware/Software Knowledge
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is required. Experience with large‑scale Document Control Software preferred; PMWeb and/or Documentum highly desirable. Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software (e.g., scanners, OCR). Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional required. Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a large‑scale ($25M+) construction project or program required; experience in a large‑scale, billion‑dollar public‑sector construction program highly desirable. Self‑starter attitude with proactive, results‑oriented focus; willing and capable of assuming additional responsibilities. Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Able to interface with people of varying technical levels and educational backgrounds; produce accurate, timely results while maintaining a positive customer‑service attitude. “Can‑do” attitude; produce consistently accurate results at a fast pace. Able to occasionally wrap, lift, and move boxes/packages of up to 40 pounds. Previous experience in a construction environment highly desirable. Education / Training
Two‑year technical degree. 5–10 years’ experience with document processing and data management; experience at large international airports preferred. Certification for document control professionals highly desirable. Seniority Level
